The most crucial skill in business today is creativity, or as we like to call it: innovative thinking. Mastering this skill allows you to recognize and create new opportunities, and to add a competitive advantage. Our Innovative Thinking workshops are aimed at developing the creativity capability of your organization.
We will give you tools to develop an innovative mindset and show you how to use different perspectives in looking at reality. You will experience the power of constraints and the opportunities you can find within them. Finally, we will teach you innovative thinking techniques, including a basic understanding of Systematic Inventive Thinking.
The Innovative Thinking workshops are in-company and can be customized to your specific situation and development challenges. In collaboration with Prof. dr. Jeff Gaspersz, Innovation professor at Nyenrode Business University, we offer an innovation workshop (in Dutch), titled: ”De Skills voor Dagelijks Innoveren”.
Companies need new ideas to move forward and ideally a lot of them. Without good ideas there will be no innovation. Some organizations need a lot of new ideas to deal with a specific challenge, other companies need a reliable structural flow of viable ideas to fill the innovation pipeline. Either way, idea generation is paramount. FlyWheel Business offers open and in-company innovation workshops focusing on idea generation.
Our Idea Generation workshops are either aimed on harvesting ideas or teaching your teams a variety of ideation techniques.
We facilitate Idea Harvesting workshops in which your teams generate actual ideas for your business. This workshop is ideal for situations in which your thinking seems blocked or when you need new ideas fast.
We also offer workshops focused on Ideation Techniques. In these workshops we teach your teams different ideation techniques that you can immediately apply in the organization to generate ideas on-demand. In the workshop we give special attention to the Systematic Inventive Thinking method. Watch the clip above or check the page to learn more about this approach.
Our innovation services
The scientific basis and successful commercial application of Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) have inspired more and more business schools to include this method in their Innovation or Marketing programs. SIT has been part of the curriculum of Columbia University and Wharton for some time now, and it has also been included in the program of Erasmus University – Rotterdam School of Management in 2015. The systematic nature of the method, as well as its commercial applicability, makes this approach extremely valuable for managers and MBAs. Ernst-Jan van Batenburg is a regular guest lecturer in the Netherlands and the United States.
Rotterdam School of Management, the business school of Erasmus University, recognizes the added value of our experience in their programs. We regularly deliver guest lectures in the Business Model Innovation program for Executive Education, the Creativity for Innovation elective for Master students and the OneMBA program.
Ernst-Jan van Batenburg regularly contributes to the Creativity for Business module of the MBA program of Columbia Business School in New York, USA. Together with professor Jacob Goldenberg he tutors groups of executive MBA student to generate ideas and find solutions to real-life projects.
FlyWheel Business is based in Amsterdam, and serves customers throughout The Netherlands and Europe.
